TEHRAN, Sep. 15 (MNA) – Payam International Airport in Karaj, which used to just serve cargo planes, opened its passenger terminal on Thursday letting pilgrims to Mashhad leave Karaj for Mashhad with no need to use Mehrabad, a 30-km away airport in Tehran. The official launch will be later celebrated in a ceremony after religious mourning days in Iran.
